CARMEN is a worldwide network of medievalists, including early career and independent scholars. CARMEN organizes Annual Meetings and this year’s meeting will take place in Essen (Germany) on 9-11 September, 2016. It is hosted by the Historical Institute at the University of Duisburg-Essen. The general theme of the Annual Meeting will be Futures. Join us, get informed about German funding bodies, attend our workshops, present research, projects and publications at the Market Place, make friends, and enjoy the charming medieval city of Essen, the home of the famous golden Madonna.
